About Me

Virtue Bajurny BSW, MSW, RSW

I am a registered social worker and therapist in Toronto, Ontario currently seeing clients online. My specialty is helping people live well with illness, but I see people dealing with a wide array of difficulties and challenges—from working through everyday stressors, relationships issues, ADHD and anxiety to experiences of grief, loss, and depression. I strive to provide an open and welcoming environment that allows people to share their stories, with the goal that together we can build a more hopeful narrative into the future.

Just as the people I see as clients have many stories to their lives, I too have had a variety of adventures that have helped inform and inspire my current work as a social worker and therapist. I grew up with a chronic illness. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art in Film and Video Production. I have worked as a nanny, a social worker, on film shoots, and as a photographer. I have travelled the world and gone on outdoor adventures with a charity that provides supports to young adults with chronic illness. These experiences have taught me resilience, the power of perspective in storytelling, the importance of creativity and flexibility, and have shown me how to find fulfillment in pushing the boundaries of my comfort zones.

I hope that if—amongst all the adventures of your life—you have also experienced a story that is painful or challenging and needs some care, that you will take the opportunity to book a consultation. Together, I am sure we can help you find your footing amidst distress and build a brighter future.
