How I Work
The first step in becoming a client is to book a free 20-minute phone consultation. Please use the form to the right to book.
Below are a few questions you may want to consider before we chat:
It’s okay if you are unsure of the answers to any of these questions. It's normal to come to therapy with a sense that something isn’t quite right, but not always have the language to relay what isn't working or what you are hoping to work towards in the future. These questions are just a starting point to keep in mind. Wherever you are unsure, we will find clarity together.

Appointment Options
All appointments are 50 minutes long, with some time set aside for rebooking. Appointments are available either by phone or through online video (Zoom).
Payment
Payment is due at the end of each session. You can pay via e-transfer or credit card. Once payment is received, I send out an electronic receipt that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement, if you have coverage. I do not do direct billing.
Insurance
You must check with your insurance about your coverage for counselling. I am a social worker registered with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Sessions are typically covered under psychotherapy services or social work services.
Any services that are provided by a social worker that are not covered by insurance can be claimed on your income tax as a medical expense.
Cancellation Policy
I require 24-hour notice for cancellations. If less than 24-hours notice is given then I will charge the full fee for the missed appointment. Exceptions can be given for emergency situations.
